You Can’t Save the World Alone: Leadership Lessons About Teamwork from Superheroes

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Superheroes, such as Batman, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and Wonder Woman—are often viewed as solitary individuals fighting for truth and justice throughout the world. However, despite their individual success, they are more effective, more efficient when they combine their strengths and abilities into teams, such as the Justice League of America and the Avengers. Using the Justice League of America, the X-Men and the Avengers, the leadership principles of collaboration, cooperation and communication in teams will be examined to highlight the importance of diversity and inclusivity in teams. The presentation will provide leadership lessons that attendees can apply to the development of their leadership skills and abilities for use both individually and in teams. (I presented this talk in May 2018 to the Sinclair Ohio Fellows and AmeriCorps staff)
