Living your Leadership Values

Based on research by Jim Kouszes and Berry Posner, this session will dive into the 1st Practice of Exemplary Leadership: Model the Way. Being believable and authentic as a leader creates credibility, the foundation of leadership. Cultivating authenticity and being our best selves begins with better understanding who we are and what matters to us. With an emphasis on leadership as an ongoing choice, not a designated position, students will participate in an activity that helps them illuminate their own personal values and will then brainstorm new ways to make sure they’re living their values every day. This session will be highly interactive and will include discussion, self-reflection, a video example, and activities.
